Yoto sleep timer vs a bedtime lock

Is the Yoto sleep timer the same as locking Yoto at bedtime?

No. A sleep timer stops the current audio after a set duration; a bedtime lock makes the player refuse to play during set hours. Audinook provides the bedtime lock that the sleep timer is not.

What Yoto does natively

Yoto's sleep timer is a one-shot countdown for the audio playing right now. Once it ends, a child can start another card immediately.

What Audinook adds

Audinook enforces a recurring bedtime window: any playback during it is stopped, not just the current track, and normal behaviour resumes in the morning.

How to set it up

  1. Connect your Yoto account.
  2. Choose a player.
  3. Set bedtime hours.
  4. Optionally choose 'finish the current story' before locking.
